THE CHALLENGE
With just four weeks from briefing to live, MRI Software engaged Planit to lead the technical production of Ascend, its flagship client conference.
The brief was simple but demanding: elevate the production value of the event, deliver a more impactful keynote experience, and ensure flawless execution across a complex, multi-stream conference.
Hosted at The O2, the event welcomed over 1,000 delegates and featured a large-scale keynote alongside 14 breakout spaces, all operating simultaneously throughout the day.

Our Approach
Working within an exceptionally tight delivery window, our team collaborated closely with the client, venue and technical partners to create a production experience that matched the scale of the event.
The keynote was enhanced through refined staging, lighting and technical production, creating a more engaging experience for delegates while giving presenters the confidence to deliver on a premium stage.
Behind the scenes, flexibility became a key part of the design.
Several breakout spaces were built to adapt throughout the day, allowing larger theatres to be divided into smaller learning environments as the agenda evolved.
One of the event's most complex moments saw a 100-person theatre transformed into multiple breakout spaces in under 30 minutes, all without disrupting the delegate experience or programme schedule.
